  • wish 가정법(S + V)
    • 사실과 다른 얘기를 할 때는, 시제를 한 단계씩 과거로 이동
  • hope vs. wish
    • I hope you have a good day.

    • I hope you had a good time last night.

    • I wish I had a car.
    • I wish I hadn’t gone to the party yesterday.
  • I wish I had been wiser then.
  • I wish I had been wiser back then.
  • I wish I had been wiser at the time.
  • I wish I had been wiser at that time.
    • at the time보다 at that time이 조금 더 구체적인, 강조하는 느낌
  • I wish I had been more careful then.
